The Digital Research Services provide a forum for Early Career Researchers who share an interest in digital research. Join us for an ideas exchange network and digital research skills development forum, encouraging best research practices. The forum meetings are informal and open to all Early Career Researchers and PhD students at the UoE community across schools and colleges.
We encourage broader participation by hosting the forum meetings in hybrid mode. Join us at the Digital Scholarship Centre, Main Library, 6th floor or online via MS Teams. Book your place using the tabs below (EASE login required).
Themes & More
The forum is open to discussions on a broad range of topics relevant to digital research, covering all phases of the research lifecycle. From planning research projects, data storage, preservation, sharing, and publication of research outputs, to research computing, open research, software, copyright, and digital research skills development, we are keen to shed light on the themes of interest to the forum members.
Beyond supporting ECRs in making the most out of the available resources and exploring the possibilities and challenges of digital research, we would like to encourage interdisciplinary dialogue and offer networking opportunities.
Members of the forum have the opportunity to propose topics based on their research interest and lead round table discussions within the University of Edinburgh and beyond, having the full support of the Research Facilitation team in planning and delivery of these sessions, alongside colleagues from the Digital Research Services.
