Breaking News from the Research Data Services team!
They’ve entered into an agreement with the Center for Open Science (COS) to provide a powerful new tool for supporting research at the University of Edinburgh.
COS’s Open Science Framework (OSF) is a data-sharing network that facilitates collaborative research by providing individual researchers with centralized data storage, integration, and sharing across the research lifecycle.
If you've already got an OSF account associated with your University email, then RDS have already emailed you with instructions for affiliating your account with our new service. If you haven't received them, please let the RDS team know via their email.
If you don’t have an OSF account yet, just go to https://accounts.osf.io/login and hit the “Sign in via Institution” button. Simply choose University of Edinburgh from the drop-down menu and you will be prompted to sign in with your university email and password.
There’s plenty of online documentation and support available from https://help.osf.io/. RDS team is also running a lunchtime introductory workshop on Wednesday 30th of August, from 1pm to 3pm, at the Main Library, 6th Floor, Centre for Research Collections – and lunch is on them! Come along to find out all about OSF from the experts, including existing users here at the University.
