Digital Humanities researchers at King's College London wanted a software to improve their textual analysis of archive-based data.
They had limited success with a product called TextGrid, which had been designed for use in Germany. SSI tested and retested the TextVRE software until a usable, accessible product was created that could be used by researchers anywhere in the UK.
More about TextVRE from SSISSI facilitates the advancement of software in research by cultivating better, more sustainable, research software to enable world-class research. They offer a free, quick online software sustainability evaluation.
