Overleaf allows you to create LaTeX documents easily and quickly, edit and preview your documents with full document history, advanced reference search and symbol palettes. As a cloud-based solution, it gives you instant access to your projects so you do not need to setup LaTeX on your computer, but you can always download the full document files for local processing. The biggest benefit of Overleaf is that it allows you to collaborate easily with others, make comments and track changes that traditionally were not very easy for LaTeX-based documents.
Overleaf offers content tailored for students, researchers and teachers.
As a student, you will be able to use the editor with a built-in tutorial, browse a gallery with a set of templates to help you get started, and also take a free course on LaTeX.
As a researcher, you will be able to find several journal templates to assist with your writing process. Moreover, Overleaf provides an intuitive editor to assist you and your co-authors in case you are not familiar with LaTeX. Alternatively, you can write directly on LaTeX using a full collaborative editor from Overleaf. Finally, as a researcher, you can submit your articles directly to a number of journals, repositories and other editorials.
The functionalities for teachers include webinars to assist different levels of expertise on several topics, address students' errors as they happen and teach students about LaTeX features.
