Digital Research Services are hosting a 1-day agentic coding training workshop on Thursday, 25th June 2026 at Edinburgh Futures Institute (Room 1.55). The workshop will equip attendees with a practical understanding of tools and approaches to AI-assisted coding and software development.
- Tutorial sessions during the morning will cover everything from setting up agentic coding tools on your device, to considering different workflows to get the best out of these tools (in-person only).
- During the afternoon, we will run an agentic coding mini-hackathon, giving you the chance to put your agentic coding skills into action and create some software (in-person only).
- At the end of the workshop, we will host Command Prompt – a monthly AI-assisted coding meetup, where workshop attendees will have the opportunity to present their creations (hybrid)
Key points
What is being covered? How to set up agentic coding tools on your device and consider different workflows to get the best out of these tools, with opportunities to put your agentic coding skills into action and create software.
