Supporting staff and students in developing digital capabilities to help work, research and study effectively.

The Digital Skills and IT Training service from Information Services Group offers digital skills development courses and resources to develop the digital capabilities of all our staff and students. You can access classroom and online training in literature searching, managing bibliographies, using software, social media and much more. Full details on many of the individual courses can be found throughout the DRS site.

You can use the Digital Skills and Training service to:

  • use the Digital Skills Framework to evaluate your current levels of digital capability, plan your development path and find resources to develop your digital skills
  • access and book on to the Digital Skills Programme of live webinars and classroom-based training
  • request tailored training for your area
  • access LinkedIn Learning online skills development courses in digital, technology, creative and business skills
  • take part in development programmes such as Developing Your Data Skills
  • access a catalogue of learning materials, including videos, course workbooks and guides
  • find out about bookable IT training facilities at Argyle House
  • get advice and consultancy on digital skills development
  • get help with training needs analysis and digital skills role profiling for your area
