Capture, organise and share data gathered in a lab environment with the Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN).

It is a multi-faceted research tool in a single, secure system which you can access using a web browser.

You can use it to:

  • capture and organise data
  • enable groups to organise and share data for collaboration
  • facilitate the principal investigator to observe and manage lab workflows
  • support institutions to capture, publish and archive data
  • create inventories for analogue objects
  • Integrate with your accounts or APIs on cloud-based services
  • And more! RSpace adds features constantly as requested by the users

The Electronic Lab Notebook is integrated with DataStore so you can connect with and access files held in your DataStore space.

You can create an account just for you, or one that includes your colleagues in a research project and indicates who is the principal investigator, using University usernames.

Researchers affiliated to The Roslin Institute should note there is a local Scientific Notebook Policy for daily record-keeping, maintaining Scientific project records and archive. Access and further information is managed locally by the Quality Manager.
